Terms of Use

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Nuro (“we”, “us”, or “our”) governing your use of the Nuro mobile and web applications, the nuro.so website, and any related services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Nuro. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Tell us promptly at support@nuro.so if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Your Content

You own the audio recordings, transcripts, and notes you create with Nuro. You grant Nuro a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely to operate the Service for you — including transcription and AI analysis. We do not sell your recordings or transcripts and do not use them to train Nuro's own AI models. Third-party processors handle content as described in our Privacy Policy. You can delete individual entries in the app, export everything you have recorded as a text file, and delete your account and everything in it from within the app itself.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

Nuro offers optional premium subscriptions purchased through your Apple ID on iOS or through our web checkout. The following terms apply to subscriptions purchased on iOS:

• Subscription title: Nuro Premium.
• Length and price: Monthly subscription at $6.99 per month, or an annual subscription billed yearly. Prices in other currencies are displayed at purchase and may vary by region.
• Introductory offers: Any trial, introductory offer, eligibility rule, price, and renewal date are shown in the App Store purchase sheet before you subscribe. Those displayed terms control.
• Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each period unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the then-current rate.
• Managing or canceling: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone or iPad. Canceling stops the next renewal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
• Refunds: Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and no refunds or credits are provided for partial periods or unused features. Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple at support.apple.com.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to record people who have not consented to being recorded where such consent is required by law.
• Upload content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, or infringes on someone else's rights.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or access the Service in any way other than through the interfaces we provide.
• Interfere with, overload, or disrupt the Service or the infrastructure behind it.

7. Third-Party Services

Nuro uses third-party services to deliver the product, including Deepgram for mobile transcription, OpenAI for web transcription and AI features, Supabase for authentication, storage, databases, and functions, RevenueCat and Apple for subscription management, PostHog for pseudonymous product analytics, and Meta for a limited set of explicit conversion events. 8. Termination

You can stop using Nuro and request deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that harms the Service or other users. Retention and deletion are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers

Nuro is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly accurate. AI output may contain mistakes; do not rely on Nuro for medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nuro will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Apple-Specific Terms (iOS)

You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Nuro, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and Apple's applicable Licensed Application End User License Agreement, Apple's terms will govern to the extent of the conflict.
