What We Collect
Nuro collects only what's necessary to provide you with a seamless voice journaling experience.
Account Information
Your email address and authentication details (e.g., Apple ID or Google account) used to create and secure your account.
Voice Recordings & Transcripts
Audio recordings you create in the app and the text transcriptions generated from them. These are stored securely and associated with your account.
AI-Generated Analysis
Insights, themes, action items, and other analysis generated from your entries. This content is stored alongside your entries in your account.
Usage Data
Basic app usage analytics (e.g., feature usage, session duration) to help us improve the product. This data is anonymized and cannot be tied back to your journal content.
How We Process Your Data
Nuro uses trusted third-party services to transcribe and analyze your entries. Here's exactly what happens with your data.
Deepgram (Transcription)
Your audio recordings are sent to Deepgram for speech-to-text transcription. Deepgram processes the audio in real time and does not store your recordings after transcription is complete.
OpenAI (Analysis)
Your transcribed text is sent to OpenAI's API for analysis, including generating insights, themes, and action items. We use OpenAI's API-only tier, which means your data is never used to train AI models. OpenAI does not retain your data after processing.
Supabase (Storage)
Your account data, transcripts, and AI analysis are securely stored in Supabase, a hosted PostgreSQL database with row-level security. Only you can access your data through your authenticated account.
What We Don't Do
We believe your private thoughts should stay private. Period.

- ✕We never share your entries with other users or third parties.
- ✕We never read your journal entries. Access is restricted to automated systems only.
Your Rights
You have full control over your data at all times.
Access & Export
You can view all of your entries, transcripts, and AI analysis within the app at any time.
Deletion
You can delete individual entries or your entire account at any time. When you delete data, it is permanently removed from our systems.
Corrections
You can edit your transcripts and update your account information at any time through the app.
